Slot Car Braid

Copper Braid Products is a major supplier of braid for use as pick-up brushes in slot racing cars. Our braid is available in either plain or tinned copper finishes, and both offer the highest possible level of performance.
Copper Braid Products slot car braid and pick up brushes are made from 99.9% pure copper, which is less prone to oxidisation than lower quality copper containing impurities.
This braid is manufactured to British Standard BS EN 13602:2002, which is your guarantee of superior quality.
The cross sectional area of our slot car braid is 0.75mm², which is easily capable of carrying the tiny currents present in slot car racing systems, while the purity of the copper ensures minimal loss of power through track-to brush contact.

The nominal size of the braid is 3mm wide x 1mm thick, which is ideally suited to the braid mountings in all types of slot car, including Scalextric, MRC, Ninco, SCX, Slot.it, Carrera, MMK as well as all other slot car brands.

Our 5mm tinned or plain flat copper braid is also ideally suited to the twists and turns in custom built slot car track layouts, see below for more information, and contact us for prices and availability.

Copper braid products offers slot car braid as pre-cut 34mm slot car brushes, as well as 500mm and 1 metre lengths.
We will also be happy to supply this braid on reels of any length up to 200 metres.
